Born and raised in Cape Town Annel grew up as a regular in the dimly lit bars and vibrant live venues that make up the Mother Cities alternative music scene. This girl has always been a big fan of music, especially hard rock, punk and metal. After working in the film industry for years, mostly in post-production and advertising, Annel developed a passion for photography and It wasn’t long before her love for the lens was combined with her past time of attending shows. Nowadays it’s not unusual to spot Annel on her haunches in front of a pit, in the crowd or even on stage capturing the raw energy of a live South African, alternative music performance.
