BIOGRAPHY

Imperial Destruction is a Melodic Death Metal Band from South Africa.

The band was forged in July 2010, with founders WianBester (Lead Guitar) and Jason Modryc (Vocalist). Imperial Destruction’s members grew rapidly with the addition of Joshua Barkley (Bass), Wesely Du Preez (Rhythm Guitar) and Evan Fourie (Drums). The band and its numinous music became a safe haven for its members. Their ambition for pushing the boundaries of traditional music composition has not been in vain.

Performing at Metal 4 Africa Winterfest in 2012 was the first milestone to their success. Soon after the bands Demo “The Witch Hunt” was featured on Bizarre Murder Production’s Armageddon: Soundtrack to the Apocalypse in Dec, 2013.

Thereafter, Imperial Destruction was nominated for the South African Metal Music Awards and performed on the night in Johannesburg in Feb, 2014. The band has also been interviewed and is involved with the Documentary & Movement, SA Music Evolution.
With the release of their first Single “Age of Ra” in 2014, the track featured on 2 local Compilation Albums: “Iron Plectrum” and the “SA Metalhead Compilation”.

Known for hosting a slew of their own shows at non-conventional venues, the band held their first mini festival call “Geraas Plaas – A Night of Destruction” in June 2015.

There after they hit the studio and released a track from their upcoming album entitled “Like Wolves That Bare Their Teeth” in August, 2015. With a positive response, the band decided to release another track entitled “Sinner” in early September. Imperial Destruction is determined to release their forthcoming album entitled Ruinous in early 2016.

With their unique approach & determination, their music has developed into a strange and creative journey.
